I remember trying to rent Star Wars at this video store down the street from where I lived in San Francisco (Crazzzzy Video). The owner refused to stock the Star Wars movies out of disdain for Lucas’ continual repackaging of the original three movies. This repackaging, however interesting, reminds me of that store owner’s complaint. Dead on, really.
P.S. I also like the “they (the kids) think that the Germans were our allies and the martians were our enemies” line.

I’ve never known anyone to claim that the Young Indy series had anything worthwhile about it, other than Harrison Ford’s cameo as Really Old Indy sitting all grizzled in a rocking chair retelling a story of his youth. I think he might’ve been wearing an eyepatch.
I worry that the same may prove true of this Star Wars tv series that they’re ballying about right now.
(on a related Star Wars note, this homage video is pretty great)

Yeah. That series doesn’t look too promising. It’s a live action show about robots?! Or maybe it will be brilliant.
