Very Rare comes from an old Yahtzee saying that originally meant just that: something was very rare. However, it slowly became a custom to say “very rare” after almost any result of one’s turn. It became so commonplace, within and without the world of Yahtzee, that “very rare” has now come to mean, “of course” or “obviously”.
So I’ve started a weblog (very rare). I realize that this is old news and that I should be writing a vlog or something, but I want to be able to catalogue my move to the West Coast and the beginning of a new turn in my life. I am both excited and scared about this move and it comforts me to think about sharing my experience with my close friends and family and the random assortment of people who accidentally click on my page because they are obsessed with Yahtzee.
This will also be an opportunity to talk about a few things on my mind, like squash, softball, and bad Red Sox fan habits.
Thanks for tuning in and staying patient while I navigate my way through this new, old, technology.
